Account and Data Deletion

Lucien is a local-first app: we run no server and hold none of your data. Deleting therefore means erasing the data where it actually lives — on your device and in your own Google Drive — and revoking the app's access to your Google account. Here is how.

1. Delete data on your device

Uninstall the Lucien app from your phone. This permanently erases the local database, imported files and your Gemini API key stored in the device's secure storage.

On Android: long-press the Lucien icon → Uninstall (or Settings → Apps → Lucien → Storage → Clear data, then Uninstall).

2. Revoke access to your Google account

Go to myaccount.google.com/permissions, select Lucien in the list of third-party apps, then choose Remove access. Lucien will no longer be able to access your identity or your Google Drive.

3. Delete the backup in your Google Drive

Two locations may contain a backup:

• The "Lucien" folder visible in your Google Drive: open drive.google.com, delete that folder, then empty the trash.
• The hidden application data (database backup) is automatically deleted by Google when you revoke the app's access (step 2). You can also manage it via Drive → Settings → Manage apps → Lucien → Delete hidden app data.

4. Request confirmation by email

If you would like help or confirmation, email app.lucien.france@gmail.com with the subject "Delete my data". Since we hold no data, our role is limited to guiding you; we typically reply within 30 days.
