Lucien was born from a conversation between two brothers, José and David. Like many people, they kept running into the same little headaches: the water heater that had already been fixed two years earlier, the pool filter's reference noted down who-knows-where, the manual filed away somewhere, the warranty nowhere to be found on the very day it was needed.
Every time, everything had to be looked up from scratch. The know-how built up over the years — the DIY repairs, the tricks that work, the part numbers — kept getting lost. Two brothers, two homes, but exactly the same need: to organize and find again what you've learned from your own everyday life.
They first tried the usual AI assistants. The problem: they answer from general knowledge, never from your home, your documents, your past repairs. You can't ask them "what did I do last time?" — they don't know your story.
That's where the idea for Lucien came from: a personal encyclopedia that files away everything you gather — documents, photos, breakdowns, repairs — and answers from your own data, kept with you. A bit like a capable uncle who remembers so you don't have to.
